Special Guest Lecture - Dr Marcello Balsamo

Dr. Marcello Balsamo is a graduate of the University of Santo Amaro in São Paulo, Brazil (1989), MSD and DDS in Resto-rative Dentistry granted at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), respectively in 2001 and 2004. Currently, he works as a professor of the São Paulo State Dental Association (APCD), member of the Brazilian Aesthetics Dental Society (SBOE) and consultant of SBOE Dental Press magazine and Dental Science magazine.

 

Voco and Dr Balsamo have offered ADOHTA SA/NT Branch member's and non-members alike an opportunity to attend a one night only evening with him looking at advances in restorative techniques using composite resins (including new flowable materials). The participants to this event will discover practical steps to better anterior restoration, the science of colour and how all this applies to shade and material selection and how composites can be made to closely mimic natural tooth morphology.

 

This same event is being offereed interstarte as a lecture plus a hands-on workshop, in most cases for between $600 - $800 AUD. ADOHTA SA/NT Branch are offering 2 scientific hours of CPD credit and the opportunity to hear from one of the worlds most esatblished authorities in aesthetic dentistry and resin restoratives for only:

 

$25 for members and $50 for non-members.

 

ADOHTA SA/NT Branch is committed to offering our members and non-member practising dental and oral health therapists low cost opportunities for CPD events where possible and will absorb some of the costs for this event. VOCO Australia has also been very generous in it's support and deserves a great big thank you by way of ensuring we have a full registration on the night.

 

For members who live in country area's or for those interstate, we are trialing a new webcasting facility and you will be able to log on to the lecture and participate from your very own workplace, lounge room or study. A Clinical Case Study Evening with ADOHTA SA/NT Branch              updated 21/2/12

Following on from our Biennial conference held in May 2011, we have scheduled the much anticipated workshop that was cancelled at the time due to some tricky technical difficulties. With technical glitches sorted out, it is time to open for registrations.

The evening promises to provide an interesting selection of routine and more complex cases with guided activities to allow open discussion and collaboration of current practices, material selection and procedures. The evening will provide 2 clinical CPD hours.  

With registration costs to ADOHTA SA/NT Branch members always being kept low, this is a great opportunity to earn some much needed CPD hours in the lead up to the fast approaching end of financial year.
